The Grateful Dead strung together some cosmic runs of shows. 72,74,77,79,80,81, and so on.. I love each one for the time period and the music vibe that was cast out to the audience to soak up.
But there is something about spring 77' You can hear it in their playing and voices.

I'd also put May 1981 right up there as one of the best runs of all time.

June '85! The shows in Ohio that month are the highlights of the year. You are now my best friend.

Pat,

the first set 6-25 is one of my ALL TIME favorite sets (skipping CC Rider) the Jack Straw is f*!$in AWESOME.

and the second set from 6-30 is STELLAR, i know that some here don't think that there were any good TOOs after the 70s, but this one ROCKS!

peace

Ya, how long is that set!? I think that the Railroad Blues in that set is the sleeper of the whole show. And Daytripper opener.... come on.
